Every day, travelling through our cities, we create and traverse countless social connections. Yet despite our societal nature, we might often be unaware of their presence. Our world is increasingly connected, yet we can feel increasingly disconnected through hectic lifestyles. We are losing touch with our basic social instinct.
Transience is a project built to manifest and map our transient social spaces. These are the ever shifting yet social connections with each other we make in both spatial and temporal contexts.
Transience manifests these spaces as an intimately human sense: touch. The midlet gives tactile representation to the social spaces we traverse and exist within. It deliberately does not include a meeting or 'match making' functionality. Instead, it offers an insight into those around us, how we relate to them on a purely social level.
