Old Language

An interesting revision of my interpretations of Manovich’s Language of New Media. Manovich makes reference to the object-oriented structure of a GUI and its compression into one synchronic event - spatial montage - sourcing My Boyfriend Came Back From War! (Lialina: 1996) as an art example of the concept.

This observation, being fairly fundamental in the examination of digital-technological impact on space/time compression - will be a useful resource for my dissertation.
